Are you looking for ways to get involved in your community and support local nonprofits? Look no further than the recent Tour de Hope fundraiser held by Mountain View nonprofit Hope’s Corner. This annual event raised over $15,000 to support their mission of providing free meals and warm showers to those in need in the local community.

During the Tour de Hope, teams competed to see who could pedal the farthest in 60 minutes on a shared stationary bike. This year’s event had 73 participants and 19 teams, with Team Codeium taking home the victory for the third consecutive year by pedaling 26.3 miles.

And if you missed out on the Tour de Hope but still want to support a good cause, mark your calendars for the upcoming National Night Out event in Mountain View on August 6. This event aims to build relationships between law enforcement and the community and will feature police cars, fire engines, lawn games, and more.

And don’t forget about the Friends of Mountain View Library’s upcoming used book sale on August 10-11. This is a great opportunity to stock up on books, DVDs, CDs, and games while supporting the library. Most items are priced at $1 or less, and on Sunday, you can fill a grocery-sized bag with books for just $5.

Supporting local nonprofits and getting involved in community events like these is a great way to make a positive impact and connect with your neighbors. So mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and join in on the fun while supporting a good cause.
